If someone were to point out what I am doing wrong I would be willing to change my opinion but I have been playing RTS for a long time (started way back in the 90s with command and conquer). If every conceivable tactic you can employ against an opponent in a video game leads to defeat, the programmer is either terrible at his job or has a skewed reason to make a faction weaker than it is supposed to be. It is not just that there are a lot of Orks while at the beginning you cannot fully level up your squads - the Tau units themselves are too weak.
Stronge Tau units, and crisis suits will never even enter the battlefield because I lose control of the resource points before getting close enough to employ them. Despite Tau heaving one of the strongest infantry weapons lore wise (strong enough to punch trough Astartes power armour) Grots and Boys take very little damage. You need to face the Orks first before being able to attack anyone else. Imperial Guard worked well enough in a single player skirmish against the Orks, but that was on easy.įrom my perspective as a beginner: As it stands now playing the campaign as Tau is simply impossible. What I can say now is that either Tau need to be buffed, or Orks nerfed. The only thing that might work is going as fast as possible for Crisis Suits but I have yet to test that out.

The first twenty minutes I was able to slowly push back but then I get swarmed with tanks, trucks and some kind of stealth unit carrying large cannons plus regular boys. I started a playthrough with the Tau on normal.
